Being able to access and consume data is considered to be the lifeblood of onchain applications. From trading to RWAs to AI applications, they all rely on oracles to connect data sources to their networks. Legacy oracles however are stalling industry growth and app development by remaining unscalable, rigid and unnecessarily costly. SEDA’s programmable oracle network introduces one click, one contract integrations for all networks to access oracle data in seconds, not months.

The Problem: Rigid Oracles Stifle Growth

The current legacy oracle model involves redeploying their entire tech stack to integrate new chains. This includes rewriting contracts to suit chain languages and possible audits that can accumulate to month long processes that cost in the excess of hundreds of thousands of dollars. This design is due to other oracles being architectured for a blockchain landscape consisting of only a few networks, far from the reality in today's blockchain environment.

For builders developing on networks that have legacy oracle access a further challenge remains only being able to access the standard data fees, often a top 50 price feed basket. It’s common industry knowledge that new feeds can cost builders over a million dollars from legacy oracles to deploy. This economic structure for new feeds does not scale in today’s landscape where new applications and bespoke use cases requiring application specific feeds are required for over 90% of apps. In blockchains era of innovation these cost over heads and rigid design models stifle development and onchain innovation. When it comes to oracle access and data consumption, builders should have boundless access to any data on the internet, free from delays or unnecessary costs. Builders should also be able to adapt feeds to their use cases without having to pay excessive costs from the customization of new feeds.

The Solution: One Click One Contract Integrations (With Programmability)

SEDA’s Programmable Oracle Network is built using an intent centric design model. This means that SEDA does not have to redeploy its network to every chain it wishes to integrate. Instead SEDA leverages a solver network that sits between SEDA and any other network. To communicate data requests. Networks need only to deploy a single SEDA Prover Contract, which takes several minutes.

With a Prover deployed to a new network, chains can query any data result on the SEDA chain instantly. Additionally networks can take the next steps to deploy oracle programs for any data source and access oracle feeds for application specific data without breaking their bank. One contract and protocol built Oracle Programs is all it takes to consume any application specific data type required for modern application use cases with SEDA, giving control to  the builders, not the oracle supplier.

Access SEDAs Programmable Oracle Network with one contract and spin up an Oracle Program that defines what data is needed, the sources to query and how results should be returned. Builders consuming data from SEDA, in contrast to legacy oracles, remain in control of their data needs for a flexible, accessible and programmable building experience, from any chain.

The Benefit: A Raas Like, Limitless Experience

Rollup as a service (Raas) providers like Conduit, Caldera or Altlayer were some of the first projects to offer single click infrastructure access for networks. SEDA’s one click, one contract model brings this concept to the oracle space effectively mitigating the standard oracle experience including month long integration delays, insanely high overhead costs and data gate keeping. In reverse SEDAs design offers the Raas experience to oracle integrations with day one access to the SEDA Oracle Network, custom & developer-led Oracle feed creation all with out forcing networks to break their banks.

With this design Raas providers can integrate SEDA into their tech offering and empower their Rollup builders with guaranteed day one oracle access. A development experience that has previously been impossible for builders. Imagine spinning up a Rollup on conduit and with a single click you now have a new network with access to any data on the internet, all in a few seconds.

Builders make a bet on infrastructure, that it will lead to attracting the right developers for the right applications to grow their network. SEDA takes the guess work away while mitigating high costs risks associated with delays and costs of legacy oracle models. By giving builders a one click one contract access environment to critical oracle infrastructure they can attract the developers they need without fronting high costs or stalling network innovation.

Build limitless. Build SEDA. Access any data from any chain on day one.
